Working in a larger hospital with a wider range of medical cases to see and learn about.

Ask as many questions as possible. You're there to work, but you can also utilize this experience to learn more about healthcare and medicine in general.

What I liked

It was great experience in a clinical atmosphere. It had decent pay, and there are multiple locations to work in.

What I wish was different

I had trained in a location that was a far distance to drive to. Hours are not flexible.

Advice

Great learning experience. Good for someone whose looking to get hours for graduate school such S Med school or PA school.

What I liked

I liked that I got to learn almost hands on about medical procedures, medical conditions, have communication with medical staff and physicians. Working in the medical environment is very beneficial and will inevitably help you to decide if a career in the medical field is what you really want to pursue.

Advice

Always approach every shift with curiosity, integrity, and be an active learner. Ask questions even if you think they’re “stupid” ones

I like the amount of control you have for your schedule. Also very kind trainers.

I wish we had a bit more training, as well to prepare situations we may be exposed to.
