My coworkers have always been fantastic and understanding.
What I wish was different
Some management disagreements between me and some upper-level staff in terms of the job. Also some guests are hard to work with and for to say the least.
Advice
Get to know your coworkers personally. If you hate your job, you might not hate the people you work with. If you hate both, find somewhere else to work. Also, just show up to work.

The job has its moments where you will have to deal with difficult people so be prepared for that.

Employees are so informative and want you to succeed. They are quick to teach and give a lot of grace for learning. They understand your needs and wants, and take it into consideration no matter what.
What I wish was different
Everything was great and I enjoyed going into my workplace.
Advice
Be flexible while working, they might ask you to help cover missing spots in other departments or to sweep or do normal housekeeping around the store. Be willing to be helpful!

I had the opportunity to manage my department and get a better understanding of what goes on behind the sense of a company that customers don’t see.

I wish I had the chance to experience the store management as a whole rather than just one department.
Advice
Be prepared to be busy, however it’s a great learning experience.

We had to work until 11-12pm whenever I worked to close even though I was scheduled to work until 10pm.
Advice
Make as many connections as you can no matter where you work. Even if it’s just at a summer job at a big company, you never know when those connections will pay off.
