Don’t be afraid to request the shifts you want because most places would rather give you a better shift than hire someone new because they made you leave.

What I liked
I got a chance to work with a variety of industry professionals that were able to help me better understand the field of web development. I also got a chance to talk with a bunch of different people in the theater industry which gave me insight into how movies go from studios to the screens we all watched. I found this fascinating as someone that worked in that industry for 4 years.
What I wish was different
I didn't feel like my specific internship we very structured. It allowed me to learn a lot more of what I wanted and what I felt like I needed but it did leave a lot of open ended days and forced me to fill my time myself.
Advice
If you are working in a place with a variety of departments, branch out from your own. Talk to a bunch of people across the company, make yourself know to people other than just your department. Those people might be able to open doors for you that you didn't even expect.

Advice
Always give it a shot, even if you think you don’t have one. I never thought I would’ve able to get this leadership position because it required leadership experience. I was able to use my organization positions as that experience which landed me the job.

I liked the benefits AMC offered for summer hires. I was able to watch movies for free and take two friends with me and I also got 50% off food. I also liked the managers and supervisors because they were very involved and made sure the crew members know exactly what to do.

I wish I had gotten less closing shifts.
