Business Operations Intern

Position summary
Do you like to wrestle with disorganization until it cries for mercy? Do you have an affinity with numbers (and people too)? We are looking for people who embrace hard work and enjoy moving the needle. We need someone who wants to keep a global remote workforce organized and on task, being the glue that holds the team together.

Work you’ll do:
In your role, you will be responsible for:
  • Support the Motivf Money Team with weekly, biweekly, monthly and trimesterly reporting and updates
  • Keep teams organized using remote software suites (i.e., Slack)
  • Plan agendas and host meetings for cross functional teams
  • Maintain a cloud-based filing system for scalable growth
  • Maintain digital and physical warehouse of materials and resources 
  • Support the development of corporate culture materials relating to business operations and Money Team functions
  • Study the marketplace, assess competitor’s work, and stay current with client industry, trends, and competition
  • Work with account and practice leads to ensure that internal and client presentations are on time, professional, engaging, persuasive and supported by a sound rationale
  • Contribute to creative development projects including stewarding proposals and supporting the production process
  • Direct inbound and outbound communication worldwide
  • Assist with office management and administrative activities including answering calls and disseminating email.
  • Provide support for communications efforts, social media campaigns, trimester planning, and events
  • Assist with administrative and event planning tasks associated with Motivf’s trimester meetings in December 2019.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • 20/20 attention to detail and clockwork time management skills
  • Analytical skills and ability to solve highly strategic and difficult business, accounting, and/or logistical problems
  • Excellent communication, team-building and presentation skills
  • Strong customer service skills, to build and maintain relationships
  • Naturally curious about industry, client, and academic news, and fascinated by the continual evolution of marketing and communications disciplines and technologies
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a virtual assistant, or office admin assistant 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Knowledge of business management systems and procedures 
  • Ability to work successfully under pressure
  • Familiar with salary research and measurement best practices
  • Familiar with marketing and communications data management tools and technologies
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and/or Mac iWork Suite
  • Excellent organizational and writing skills.
