Service Delivery Center - Audit Specialist - Tampa

Responsibilities
As a Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Proactively support multiple work streams or project teams to execute against an existing project or work plan
  • Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of activities and service delivery
  • Display effective organization skills, managing multiple and competing priorities and coaching others to improve these skills
  • Propose solutions to manage client expectations and managing the delivery of the solution
  • Display attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe
  • Integrate and synthesize information from multiple sources in order to analyze complex data and results, anticipate issues and solve problems

Required Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success, as both an individual contributor and team member, with identifying and addressing client needs including:
  • Demonstrating general understanding of accounting principles obtained through either coursework in Accounting and Finance or prior work experience, as applicable;
  • Demonstrating intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Excel, including use of macros, pivot tables, formulas and formatting;
  • Demonstrating technical aptitude for learning new applications and databases;
  • Demonstrating commitment to teamwork as demonstrated in professional, classroom or networking environments;
  • Having self-motivation, with a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development;
  • Receiving real-time feedback and coaching from Engagement Teams, SDC Supervisors and SDC Managers on a daily basis and ability to apply to future work requests;
  • Understanding production of effective written and verbal communications, especially when interacting with internal and external clients at various levels;
  • Demonstrating attention to detail with the ability to participate, communicate and apply knowledge to deliver quality processes in a wide range of projects;
  • Demonstrating effective problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize, communicate and handle multiple tasks; and,
  • Demonstrating commitment to continuous learning and development.

Additional Educational Preferences
Cumulative GPA of 3.0; Preferred coursework: A "B" or better in at least three Accounting or Finance college level courses
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in applying Audit Standards and Audit Procedures, such as:
  • Processing workflow related to standard audit tasks from initiation through completion, management of workflow within the management tool, and ability to identify the optimal and required manner in which to document results of work performed;
  • Understanding financial statement review procedures in relation to the requirements of supporting documentation and financial statement documents in accordance with auditing standards;
  • Testing of details and controls for fixed assets, inventory, other asset additions, interest income/ expense and dividends including understanding policies, auditing procedures, evaluation of qualitative items;
  • Documenting preparation, including gathering information and populating documents based on audit policy and standard templates;
  • Understanding preparation and management of the External Confirmation process in accordance to PwC guidelines, including database set up, sending and receiving, follow up with third parties, and reporting back to engagement teams;
  • Exercising business judgment in the performance of these activities;
  • Understanding performance of other assurance related activities based on business need; and,
  • Receiving real-time feedback and coaching from Engagement Teams, SDC Supervisors and SDC Managers on a daily basis.
