The work environment was great. There were over 100 interns and all the full time employees treated you with respect. They also had flexible work hours and the option to work from home.

What I liked
The freedom and encouragement to explore the whole company and drive your own projects. Rather than doing trivial work for the company you are driving solutions and solving problems that have a real impact on the business
What I wish was different
More direction. While the freedom was great, having a bit more guidance would have been beneficial for moving a bit faster and with clear direction.
Advice
Embrace the ambiguity of the position. Viasat wants you to get outside your comfort zone and find solutions to difficult problems so don't be afraid of doing something a bit different than what might be expected of your role traditionally.
