I loved the team I work with at Follett. I worked with the Follett Higher Education Group under the E-commerce sector. This team was incredible and wanted me to learn as much as I could. Co-workers took time out of their days to meet with me and answer questions or give me advice. It was a friendly and welcoming environment. My work felt valued and appreciated and I got to experience several unique opportunities that not many interns get to experience. I also loved being in a rotation program where I could experience various positions and jobs within e-commerce.
What I wish was different
I wish that there had been more time in the internship to dive deeper into each area within e-commerce.
Advice
I would advise you to work hard. The other people in this office work very hard and it is important that they can trust you and assume you are working as hard as they are. Trust in the work you do and the people you work with. Also, take note of each position you learn about so you can better understand what you want to pursue later in life.

Remember that in customer service positions, you are always the face of the company to the customer. Also, listening to the customer's needs beyond that of the product can help make a difference in making a person's day.

What I liked
Working on campus brought many opportunities to get to know different students from all backgrounds and professors in multiple departments which can be helpful. When graduating, Follett paid for cap and gowns. Also, we had mini office parties for a chance to win free prizes.
What I wish was different
I wish there was better communication so that the employees can be directed better.
Advice
Do not be afraid to talk and get to know who you work with, especially your employer. This makes working and communication easier.

Be ready to be busy at all times. Whether its cleaning, customer service, or folding, there always seems to be something to do (nothing extremely intensive, but busy nonetheless).
