What I liked
I've had another internship before, but my HR internship with BorgWarner is so much better. What I appreciate about this company is that they treat their interns like they are employees. Instead of getting busy work, I got hands on experience with HR tasks across several different categories. There's a big emphasis on friendliness and teamwork in the company, too, so I always felt like I could reach out and ask questions without feeling burdensome.
What I wish was different
I have no real complaints. Any suggestions I've had I've been able to take to my managers and they addressed it straight up.
Advice
My biggest piece of advice about my experience is that you need to take your internship seriously. Like I said before, BW treats its interns like employees. You'll get lots of projects that require serious time management, organization skills, and attention to detail. Still, I think it's so much more worth it to have an internship where you get hands on experience instead of busy work. If you come to work willing to learn then you'll be fine :)
